Smoky Mountain Haven - 8 BD Cabin in Pigeon Forge

The cabin was mostly clean. Some areas could use extra cleaning but overall that didn’t affect our stay. The host is fantastic, he was very quick with answers to my questions. The balconies were nice and the hot tub was very nice. The only awkward thing about the cabin is that the bathrooms are wide open so if you like your privacy you won’t have any unless you use the bathroom upstairs. We had a great time and we loved the bears.

The location is a bit misleading, as we were expecting to be higher up in the mountain based on the pictures and description. It is a wooded area, but there are houses in the "backyard." However, it was still private, did not have an issues with neighbors. We just did not get the "mountain views" noted in the description. The house was clean upon arrival. There were multiple issues such as fridge/freezer did not work, trim that was broken and needing repair. Cleaning staff should have identified this during cleaning, but was not fixed prior to arrival. It took repair/maintenance until business day (2 days later) to get out and provide a temporary fix. With the cost of cleaning service, this really should have been addressed. I would suggest to the host to create a reference binder with specific info to the house, as well as recommendations for the area. The bedroom with multiple beds actually has 2 queen over queen bunk beds. Again this would have been helpful info to know ahead of time. ALso, the hot tub is located off of this bedroom for reference. Finally, the host was responsive to our questions, but was limited due to the owner not providing an answer or direction for our issue that came up.

We had a great stay at this cabin! The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the private balconies were a really nice touch. The common areas were perfect for our large group and gave everyone plenty of space to relax and spend time together. The host was also very responsive and easy to communicate with, which we really appreciated.The only downside was that the walls and floors are a bit thin, so you can hear conversations and footsteps from rooms above, below, and next door. However, it wasn’t a major issue for our group and didn’t take away from the overall experience. We still had a wonderful stay!

The host was very thorough in check in instructions, and the cabin had everything we needed!

Wi-Fi was out at cabin before we arrived, owners didn't seem to care, no hurry to get fixed for us, even though i reached out every day for progress and was told that I am waiting for the part. So 8 televisions in the cabin that were useless because everything requires internet. Also no actual living room area on main floor, very inconvenient when traveling with limited mobility parents. Beds and pillows were bare minium at best. Also cabin was 55 degrees when we arrived at 4PM, took till midnight or so to get warmed up to 68 degrees. Very cold and unpleasant that evening.
